John T. Corcoran

The Story

John T CorcoranJohn Corcoran has been a member of the CAR since 1995.  He has apprenticed for several of the local Real Estate Brokers starting with RE/Max Preferred in CdA, and now is part owner of RE/Max by the Lake.  Johns past life’s experiences have helped him to prepare for a life of Real Estate.

John is a Licensed Plumbing Contractor since 1975  in  several states, and previously  owned  One Way Plumbing Corporation with 150 + employees.  He is currently a partner in a plumbing business in Hayden.  He also spent 2 years with Dale Carnegie, first as a student then  as a teacher assistant.

During a recent mission trip to Honduras, John felt that he “could make a difference in the lives of the children”, who had either no shoes or shoes that didn’t fit.   He came home and began a shoe ministry called “Zapatos” for the children.  Currently he has delived shoes to Mexico, Honduras, Swaziland and Central Africa.  The word “shoes” always puts a smile on his face!

He collects shoes daily from people that know about the ministry and has about 7500 pairs ready to go to whoever needs them.

John is currently serving  as  the CAR co-chair for Elder Help and Habitiat for Humanity.   Having made a difference in the lives of those that are in need, he has decided to take a roll in the organization that has served him so well for so long.  With his clear thinking, desire to do  right for the membership, and knowledge of the current MLS system, he hopes to make it extremely user friendly and a win –win for the membership.
